This month we will be showing off Alec Smiths of Rochester Hills native and edible landscaped yard.
When I first moved into my house the yard and landscaping was all non-native and perfectly manicured lawn. With in a year I have removed non-natives and adding native throughout the landscape. I have a prairie, rain garden, native and edible landscape mixture, edible forest, and a native woodlot. With the addition of all the natives I am hoping to attract all kinds of wildlife from the smallest insects to the biggest mammals that roam the woods.
